Okay - only Mommy and Daddy will understand that reference unless there are other Adam Sandler fans out there!
Well - it was bound to happen...they told us it would. Everyone told us that if he goes to day care he would be more prone to getting a cold. That's why we are doing the RSV shots - so if he got a cold it wouldn't put him back in the hospital.
Friday he came home with a stuffy nose and sneezing. We sucked snot and made sure he got good rest most of the day on Saturday and finally got out and got a cool mist Humidifier (Mr. Penguin) and some Baby Vick's menthol rub. After a night of that treatment he seems pretty happy and like himself again. He still has a little nasal congestion that we check on at each feeding, also he has a little cough that we would like to make go away...but it isn't nagging. Only occasional. He never got a fever, so we think that it wasn't a full-on cold. We'll call the doctor Monday and see if there is anything else we can do if it persists.
Amid all the excitement Mommy had a birthday today! Not exactly what she had planned - we were hoping for a nice warm day and a healthy baby to make a trip to have a birthday meal at a local park....but alas, we had a baby that was under the weather and the weather didn't cooperate either, it was in the 50's today and quite windy. Hopefully this next weekend we can make it up to her.
