I got to experience the "Baby Registry" process last night after work. Two hours of fun!
Not sure if that is sarcastic or not...was fun, but I was ready to call it a night after going through the entire Babies R Us inventory to try to decide what we would need to accompany a little baby.
I'm sure I have read this a hundred times, but now I really understand what people mean by "All this stuff for such a small person!"
Pam went a few weeks ago to register at Target with her mom and sister - which was a good thing! I can't imagine how long it would have taken if this had been our first time to register and not have another recent mom along for suggestions. I think we did a pretty good job of covering the bases without registering for stuff we would never use...just amazing how much stuff you need that you really never had thought of before.
One thing I noticed while registering was all the wonderful "Child Proofing" products that you need to outfit your house with. Woo-Hoo! We just got finished...well, are in the process of finishing the remodeling of the 60's modern house we bought last year and now we are going to have to make sure it is "Child Safe". I'm not sure they had "little ones" in mind when they built this house...or maybe back then they weren't as scared into purchasing all this extra stuff like our commercial society does nowadays.
